Transit Data & Attribution
BusBusGo relies on open geographical data, community cartography, and real-time passenger contributions. We believe in strict attribution, data accuracy, and commuter privacy.
OpenStreetMap (ODbL 1.0)
Geographical road alignments, highway corridors, and named bus stop points are derived from OpenStreetMap contributors. Available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL) 1.0.
Map Tiles & Cartography
Map rendering and vector tiles are powered by OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles, providing fast, privacy-respecting vector maps without third-party tracking.
Corridor Intelligence & Data Rights
BusBusGo structures transit information across West Bengal corridors to help commuters navigate routes, verify stops, and check live crowdsourced vehicle movement.
Internal route synthesis, corridor harmonization, proprietary transit research, and real-time fusion algorithms are proprietary developer assets. Raw datasets, private research outputs, and database dumps are not distributed publicly.
To explore public corridors and stops, use the interactive web exploration tools below or the BusBusGo mobile application.
Live Telemetry & Commuter Privacy
- Ephemeral Updates: Live bus positions are contributed voluntarily by passengers while traveling. When tracking stops, position sharing ends immediately.
- Zero Personal Tracking: No personal identities, GPS breadcrumb histories, or user journey records are ever stored or published.
- Honest Signals: When no passenger is sharing telemetry on a route, BusBusGo explicitly displays “No live tracker” rather than fabricating simulated movements.
